Gallago is the alias of multi-instrumentalist and classically trained Ashton Fox. Learning to play the violin from the age of five back in his hometown of Johannesburg, Ashton embarked on a musical journey that led to him receiving a degree in Sound Design in the UK. His classical background clearly influences his productions today where he also showcases his songwriting skills, often laying down his own vocals. His standout release to date, Lost Signal, was released on Anjunadeep and pricked the ears of BBC Radio 1 mainstays Danny Howard and Phil Taggart whilst garnering support from DJs like Kidnap and Jody Wisternoff. Before that, Ashton's music caught the attention of Eton Messy Records, Kitsuné Musique and Elder Island, with each single showing off his penchant for producing evocative melodies. Now residing in Bristol, it's clear that Gallago's tracks ooze with the many influences he's picked up along the way.
