Elijah Wood has been surrounded by music and the arts throughout his entire life. His grandfather was a painter, his grandmother a concert pianist, his mother a professional vocalist and his father a violinist and founding member of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Elijah's first professional opportunity came at age 14 when he became the drummer for his parents' groundbreaking music education program Electrify Your Strings™ (EYS). As part of EYS, he was featured on NBC's The Today Show, CBS Evening News and many others. In addition, as a member of The Mark Wood Experience (his parent’s touring band), he performs with symphony orchestras around the world.

In 2014, Elijah was the house drummer for Season 9 of NBC-TV's hit TV show America's Got Talent, broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in NYC. At the conclusion of the season, he was hired as the drummer for the AGT Live! residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. He continues to perform with the contestants in live and studio capacities.

Most recently, Elijah landed the coveted position as Shania Twain's new drummer for her Rock This Country arena tour, which encompassed 75 shows in the US and Canada. The tour lasted six months, reached over a million people, and at its peak was the 4th highest grossing summer tour after Taylor Swift.

Beyond his live performance, Elijah is an accomplished studio musician with extensive experience in a variety of recording environments, and has also written and produced his own music. As such, Elijah is the drummer for OrKeystra, a prog rock super group created by Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess. The group is currently working on an album release.
