Charles Shelton Jr. got his start in music by playing drums and organs at the church where his father worked as a pastor. Charles has since played with many great artists including Dr. Bobby Jones, Shirley Ceasar, Albertina Walker, Candi Staton, Kurt Carr, and Darreyl Coley to name a few. Charles not only enjoys drumming but also views it as a spiritual and religious obligation. He claims to acquire his drum ideas and showmanship from a higher power. This lefty drummer is renowned for quick yet controlled hand and foot speed.
