JP "Rook" Cappelletty
Machine Gun Kelly
Since the age of two, JP "Rook" Cappelletty has been banging on his drums, but not until his senior year of high school did he get the opportunity to make his dreams turn reality. After receiving a call from Slim, Machine Gun Kelly's musical director, JP left high school to drum professionally with the Cleveland, OH hip hop legends who nicknamed him "Rook". Don't let his nickname deceive you. Fans and bandmates gave JP the name "Rook(ie)" because he had the appearance of a boy, yet played the drums like a grown man with years of professional experience under his belt. Fast-forward over 10 world tours and thousands of new fans, Rook is still mesmerizing audiences everywhere with his blindfolded solos, superior showmanship and infectious energy. Consistently raising the bar, setting new goals and surpassing them, he's one of the most dynamic and gifted drummers of his generation. Rook's determination and perseverance has proven to be one of the keys to his young success. He will be a force to be reckoned with for a very long time.
